Overview

Register Ed helps you discover events and register online. While we hope you’ll find it easy to use, we’ve compiled a list of some frequently asked questions.

Finding Events

Q: Are some events hidden or unlisted?

Any event that is public will be listed online. If an event that you’re looking for does not appear, it could mean that the program does not have upcoming events, or the event you’re seeking might be scheduled as “private” and, therefore, not listed.

Registration

Q: Why are personal questions asked during registration?

Each program asks unique questions that have been designed to suit the needs of the agency involved in the event. Many events end up in the issuance of certifications to people who successfully complete the event. Often questions are related to requirements from the agency itself or for federal reports.

Q: What happens to my information?

Register Ed does not retain registration information indefinitely. Registrations are collected online, then finally collected by the provider, or state agency, shortly after the final event day. Please review our privacy policy for more information.

Q: What happens after registration is complete?

We’ll send a confirmation email to the address you provided during registration. It will confirm that you’re on the event roster, provide all the details you need to locate the event, and remind you of any things you need to bring to your event.

Q: Where is my confirmation email?

The confirmation email should be received shortly after registration is complete. If you don’t see the email, try checking your spam folder. You’re welcome to contact us if you need additional assistance.

Billing and Payment

Q: Are all events free?

Many events are free, but some require a registration fee. Details about fees can be reviewed within each specific program or event.

Q: Is it safe to enter my credit card information online?

Yes! You can enter your credit card online with confidence on our secure server.

Q: What is the vendor name that will appear on the credit card statement?

Wait List

Q: Sometimes on full events, there is a wait list to join. How does the wait list work?

Not every event has a wait list, since every event is slightly customized. If there is a wait list to join, the wait list starts once the desired number of registrations has been reached. Beyond that, anyone else must join the wait list and is queued up in the order that they joined.

Q: Why don’t all full events have a wait list?

Each event is customized. Sometimes simply having a “full event” works better than managing a wait list.

Q: How are people selected from the wait list?

When cancellations occur to a wait listed event, people on the wait list are not automatically invited when others cancel. The event organizer is responsible for contacting those on the wait list by email or phone. If a person shows interest in attending the event, the organizer can send them an electronic invitation to register (via email) or choose to register them over the phone.

Cancellations

Q: Can a registration be cancelled?

Most events allow you to cancel your registration a day before the event starts, but each program has a unique cancellation policy. If your schedule changes frequently, please review the cancellation policy before completing registration.

Q: How do I cancel a registration?

If you need to cancel, visit the change or cancel registration page. Provide the email address used during registration, and we’ll send you a confirmation via email. Click on the link in the email to view the event details page. Scroll to the bottom to view your cancellation options.

Q: I paid an event registration fee. When canceling, how will I get reimbursed?

If you cancel an event that included a registration fee, you can contact Customer Service to have the amount refunded. We will send a refund directly to the credit card account used during registration.
