    Let’s Go Fishing is a network of volunteer instructors who encourage and teach Vermonter’s aquatic education on behalf of the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Dept. Volunteers with the Let's Go Fishing Program encourage and teach young people and their families how to fish, emphasizing that fishing is more than just catching fish. Vermont Fish & Wildlife provides support to all instructors through detailed trainings, curriculum, staff support and equipment. Annually the program reaches over 8,000 Vermonters and is supported by sport fish restoration funds.

  • Bowhunter Education Course


    Overview

    Before taking the Bowhunter Education course, students are encouraged to complete the online homework OR a paper workbook. Bowhunter Education students may be required to bring the online course certificate or workbook to class. Check with your instructor to see if this is required. All courses, reading materials, and exams are written at a 6th grade reading level.

    Students who are over the age of 18 are eligible for our online only certification at: Bowhunter-ed.com

    Would-be hunters must successfully complete the Hunter Education course in order to purchase their first license. All courses are led by certified volunteer instructors, all are free, including materials. All courses, reading materials, and exams are written at a 6th grade reading level.

  • Hunter Education Home Study

    Before taking the Hunter Education Home Study students must first complete the prerequisite online course. Students who are over the age of 12 are eligible for our online only certification at Hunter-Ed.com

    Home Study students are required to bring the online course completion certificate when they come to class.

    Would-be hunters must successfully complete the Hunter Education course in order to purchase their first license. All courses are led by certified volunteer instructors, all are free, including materials. All courses, reading materials, and exams are written at a 6th grade reading level.
