Overview

The Missouri Hunter Education Skills Session is the second half of the hunter education certification process after completing one of the knowledge based options. Students must be 11 years of age & older to attend this session.

How long is the skills session?

A typical Missouri Hunter Education Skills Session lasts four (4) hours, including exam time.

Do I need to bring anything?

All attendees must bring one of the following or will be turned away from the session:

  • Skills Session Qualifier Certificate from the online course or;
  • Student manual with all chapter review questions answered or;
  • Skills Session Qualifier Certificate from the Hunter Education Classroom Session

About Registration

  • Registration for any class must be completed at least seven (7) days prior to the class start date.
  • No registrations will be taken after the seven (7) day cut-off or if the class becomes full.
  • Students 16 years of age and younger must bring a birth certificate or other proof of age to the course.

The Missouri Hunter Skills Session is required in order to complete your Hunter Education Certification. At the skills session, you will review critical skills, and you will take a skills test and a written exam. There is no cost for attending the field day. Youths under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
